Please post your app to your character journal and link to your application in the comments. In your subject line, please note your character name, fandom, and if there's any kind of AU.
There is only one application regardless of whether your character is Canon or an OC.

Apps open on the 5th of every month and close on the 25th. After each app round, we will clean out the apps in the comment section.

Links to history will be accepted, otherwise explain your character’s history as best you can in 300 - 500 words.

Character Abilities:
List any skills and abilities that your character excels at, or has as part of their species traits. (some powers may be limited by setting requirements)

Character Personality/Role:
This is different than the usual app. what we’re looking for specifically is the following: 
1.) What role does your character typically take in a group?
2.) What motivates your character?
3.) What are the largest issues your character has to face at this time? We're looking for your ideas on character growth or stagnation, what makes this character worth exploring to you.

Character’s Door and game specific goals:
We need some acknowledgement that you understand your character entered this world willingly.
And tell us why the Door to Averde has appeared for your character. What is going on in their lives, what do they need to figure out or make a decision about in order to get home? (This should tie into the character’s issues.)

What are the win conditions for your character? 
In order for their door to return, they must complete some kind of personal quest. Making 10 new friends, or shutting the door in someone’s face five times, or stomping on 75 yellow peeps. A specific goal that somehow ties into your character’s reasons for being in Averde. This can be as big and impossible, or as simple and achievable as you want. Completing the goals are the only way that a character's door home will return, so keep that in mind.

And Finally, examples:
One First Person example: A conversation, a monologue, anything that will give us an idea of the voice of your character. (for the eventual network that is not currently open)

One Prose example: (a sample of your writing style for this character)

One Action example: (a sample of using the <a href="http://ingress.dreamwidth.org/4899.html">dice roll mechanics</a> to resolve an action)

Playtest History (optional) 
**characters that have participated in a playtest entrance are allowed to link that as a sample, please specify if you intend for it to be the character's actual entrance to the game. which is fully allowed.

**playtested characters may also start fresh with a new entrance; however, their previous incarnation will be assumed to have died during the timeline of playtest.

Welcome to Ingress!

All new characters arrive in Ingress together at the first of each month, and we can't wait to see you in action! Until then, here are a few things you can do to get ready:
Join and subscribe to our Network, Logs, Adventure, OOC and Playtest comms!
Subscribe to Ingress, the mod journal.
If you're on plurk, follow ingressmods
Add your character by filling out the form on the Taken Characters page.
Introduce yourself by posting in our OOC community.

When You Arrive

Your character will be walking through their door in the morning on Tuesday, July 1st. Exactly what's on the other side will be revealed in the monthly arrival event log, which will be posted that day (or the night before) in our Ingress Logs community. Your character will have a chance to interact with all the new characters, NPCs, and any old characters who might be in the area as well.

Important: Please do not post as your character before the monthly arrival event. We know you're excited to play, but the mods brew up something special for new characters each month. Please be patient with us!
